ASEAN Vocational Engineering Camp (AVEC) was organized under the Regional Association for Vocational and Technical Education in Asia (RAVTE).
AVEC 2016 was successfully conducted on 3th to 10th July 2016 at Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna (RMUTL), Chiang Mai, Thailand. The main input from AVEC 2016 camp consist of a 5 day workshop focusing on the implementation of the Internet of Thing (IoT), sponsored by ST Microelectronic, Espert, RMUTL and Singapore Polytechnic.
This year, Faculty of Technical and Vocational Education (FPTV) from Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) will take turn as the host for organizing this camp. The theme for AVEC 2017 is “Towards School 4.0”, primarily focusing on the application of Internet of Thing (IoT).
AVEC 2017 is open to all universities from ASEAN countries including the RAVTE members. The undergraduate students with background in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, information technology, computer science and engineering are encouraged to participate in this camp. The camp provides an opportunity to understand and apply the use of IoT in variety of contexts.
